About & methodology
Built With AI Index tracks real products built mostly with AI coding tools, and the revenue their makers have published. We don't estimate revenue. If there's no public figure, the app isn't listed.
Revenue labels
- Verified (TrustMRR) The figure comes from a public TrustMRR profile, which reads revenue from the payment provider (Stripe, RevenueCat, LemonSqueezy, etc.) via a read-only key. We show the value on the date we checked it.
- Reported by outlet A named publication published the figure, usually from an interview where the founder stated it or showed a dashboard (e.g. Starter Story, Indie Hackers, a podcast). Tool-vendor case studies (Lovable, Base44, Rork) are in this group and marked "tool vendor case study", because the vendor sells the tool the app was built with.
- Self-reported The founder published the figure themselves: an X post, their own site, newsletter or channel.
What "built with" means
"Built with" is the maker's own account of the tools they used, taken from the source. Many apps used several tools, and many started in one tool (e.g. Lovable) and moved to another (e.g. Claude Code or Codex).
Sorting and conversions
To sort and filter by revenue, we convert figures to a monthly USD number only when the source states them in dollars (or the source's title or host does): ARR is divided by 12, and "last 30 days" or "last 4 weeks" counts as one month. Lifetime totals, one-off figures and non-USD amounts are shown as published but left out of USD sorting and tool stats. Each app page shows the exact figure, its date and context.
Freshness
TrustMRR-verified entries are re-checked automatically. Other entries keep the date of their figure. We add new apps every week from founder interviews, Indie Hackers, X and vendor case studies.
Corrections
If a figure is wrong or about you and you want it removed, use the submit page and we'll check it.
Sources & credit
Many entries in this first version were found through ShippedAndPaid and the DollarBreak vibe-coder leaderboard. We always link the original source.
